LOVE IN THE WILD: A PLANT and ANIMAL ROMANCE HIKE (for adults ), February 14, 2013 9:00 AM – NOON
What’s love got to do with it?
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we’ll hike the CREW Cypress Dome Trails and explore the many ways plants and animals attract each other and keep their species going. This hike is for adults curious about plant and animal adaptations which enhance their abilities to find mates and reproduce.
We’ll hike approxiately three miles on this hike. The hike is free, but donations to the CREW Trust are greatly appreciated on the day of the event.
Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and bring water to drink. Cameras and binoculars are optional.
GUIDED WALKS at CREW MARSH
First and Third Tuesdays and 2nd Saturdays from November 2012 – April 2013
CREW volunteer, Dr. David Cooper, leads these guided walks at the CREW Marsh Trails from November through April, 9 – 11:30 AM.
Dr. Cooper is a Florida Master Naturalist
and an extraordinary hike leader. His sense of humor and in-depth knowledge of Florida’s ecology will entertain and inform you!

BIRD ROOKERY SWAMP GUIDED WALKS
Every Wednesday, November 2012 – April 2013 9 – 11:30 AM
Come stroll CREW’s newest trails at Bird Rookery Swamp, located near the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Collier County, with CREW volunteer George Luther. He’ll entertain and inform you as you walk 2 to 3 miles of the 12 miles of trails to give you a taste of a beautiful bottomland hardwood swamp.

FULL MOON WALKS
Join the CREW Land & Water Trust in February and March 2013 as the sun sets and the moon rises on these Full Moon Night Walks and explore the magic of the night with senses other than sight. Reservations are required. Sign up online through our EventBrite page.
Strolling Science Seminars for Adults
CREW’s Strolling Science Seminars are a series of six half-day scholarly hikes for adults at the CREW Trails. Each monthly seminar engages you in citizen science on a specific topic related to the watershed and wildlife of CREW. Seminar leaders are experts in their fields. Gain in-depth knowledge, hands-on field experiences, and get access to online resources. You’ll be able to go home and engage in a citizen science project of your choosing.
Fee per seminar: $15 CREW Members, $25 non-members
