Posted on February 27, 2018Check out what you can see today at the CREW Marsh Trails! Volunteer naturalist Janet Bunch leads walks at the CREW Marsh Trails each Tuesday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. through the end of March. Paw paws are blooming all along the trails! These are good snail eggs- from our native apple snails. This shell is from a native apple snail, not to be confused with the non-native one that lays pink eggs. Baby lubbers are everywhere! A young alligator rests in the water along the trails. Two very noisy red-shouldered hawks kept us company at the observation tower. Lots of white peacocks and a few gulf fritillaries. Most thistle blooming along the trail are a vibrant pink/purple. We found two today that are white.
