CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament raises $16,000 for environmental education

On Friday, October 26, 22 teams of golfers teed off to raise funds for the CREW Trust’s environmental education programs.


Thanks to the support of the golfers and our sponsors, the 2018 CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament raised $16,000. The proceeds will go towards purchasing supplies for our k-12 field trips, providing stipends for the leaders of our adults-only Strolling Science Seminars and so much more.

The success of this fundraiser year after year is due in part to the tremendous support we receive from area golf course superintendents and our generous sponsors. Thank you again to our sponsors and participants, and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Tee off for a great cause

Rattlesnakes, bobcats, alligators and bears don’t golf – but humans do!

Join one of our wildlife-named teams and hit the links to support the CREW Trust on Friday, October 26, 2018.

This fun, scramble-format tournament takes place at Old Corkscrew Golf Club and attracts local golf superintendents, businesses and friends of the CREW Trust. It is our fastest growing fundraiser and last year raised $16,000.

2017 CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament raises $16,000 for CREW Trust

On Friday, November 3rd, CREW members, friends and golfers gathered at Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Estero for the 2017 Stanley Hole Golf Tournament!

Winners of the tournament were:

1st Place gross: Pinestraw of South Florida

1st Place net: Glase Golf, INC

2nd Place net: Benson Blackburn, LLC

The event raised $16,000 for the CREW Trust’s environmental education programs. This year, those programs include field trips for Collier County third grade students, field trips for Immokalee students and a new field trip in development called Soil ROCKS! aimed at second grade students.

Register now for the 2017 CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament

 

Ready to tee off for a great cause?

Join CREW Trus staff, members and friends at the 2017 CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament on November 3, 2017 at Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Estero.

The CREW Trust hosts two fundraisers each year and our golf tournament continues to grow in popularity. This year team names are returning, like Team Rattlesnake, and additional sponsorship opportunities are availalbe for those that would like to support the fundraiser but are unable to participate in the event.

Single player registration is $100 and Hole Sponsors/Team Entry registration starts at $600.

Registratoin deadline is October 27, 2017. You can download registration and sponsorship forms on the event’s website (crewtrust.org/2017-crew-stanley-hole-golf-tournament/) and stay up-to-date through the event’s Facebook page.

Save the Date: 2017 CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament

What does CREW have to do with golf?

Every fall, we craft wee golf clubs and set up a tournament for the armadillos at the Marsh Trails…

Kidding. We’re totally kidding. Everyone knows armadillos are terrible golfers.

 

We’re looking for a few good, some moderate and a lot of mulligan-loving golfers to come out to Old Corkscrew Golf Club on November 3 to help us raise money to fund our environmental education programs.

It’s a team scramble format with mulligans, raffles and a lot of fun. We hope you’ll join us or, if you’d like to support this fundraiser but are unable to golf, please peruse our underwriting opportunities and consider becoming a sponsor.

Hole Montes, LLW, and EGCSA Sponsor 2013 CREW Golf Tournament

Golf Tournament FoursomeThank you to Hole Montes, Inc., Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A. (LLW), and the Everglades Golf Course Superintendent’s Association (EGCSA) all of whom have agreed to be major sponsors for the 2013 CREW Stanley Hole Golf Tournament. This tournament – one of two annual fundraisers for the CREW Land & Water Trust – will be held October 25, 2013 at the Old Corkscrew Golf Course on Corkscrew Road in Estero, FL.

Proceeds benefit the CREW Land & Water Trust in its mission to preserve and protect the natural communities and water resources in and around the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. Additional hole sponsors are needed. Hole sponsors, players, and foursomes can find registration information here.

This tournament is named in honor of Stanley Hole, who was a founding board member of the CREW Trust and instrumental in developing partnerships in the early days of CREW. Stanley was also an avid golfer.
