Check out what you can see today at the CREW Marsh Trails!
Today on our Tuesday free guided walk at the CREW Marsh Trails, we saw so many wildflowers we lost count! We also saw two Swallow-tailed kites, but they were too fast for us to photograph.
Volunteer naturalist Janet Bunch leads walks at the CREW Marsh Trails each Tuesday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. through the end of March.
Paw paws are blooming all along the trails!
These are good snail eggs- from our native apple snails.
This shell is from a native apple snail, not to be confused with the non-native one that lays pink eggs.
Baby lubbers are everywhere!
A young alligator rests in the water along the trails.
Two very noisy red-shouldered hawks kept us company at the observation tower.
Lots of white peacocks and a few gulf fritillaries.
Most thistle blooming along the trail are a vibrant pink/purple. We found two today that are white.
We only have a few more Tuesday hikes left before our season ends; you can sign up on eventbrite.
